Many wirewound resistor manufacturers have the capability to manufacture noninductive, fusible, or high pulse withstanding resistors, but Tokenchina's custom wirewound capabilities extend beyond the usual fusible or noninductive offerings.


A range of compact flameproof power wirewound resistors respond to growing industry demands for smaller sizes for a given power rating. The KNP series has been designed to give enhanced pulse handling capability and increased flameproof protection. These resistor is ideal for high reliability industrial application where large power dissipation is required.

Construction
Produced on a high purity ceramic substrate, the KNP resistor is assembled with interference-fit end caps to which are welded terminations. The resistive element (metal alloy wire) is wound on a high purity ceramic rod and welded to the caps. Flameproof vitreous enamel, silicone, cement, or epoxy coating is applied prior to marking with indelible link.
